We are preparing for Thanksgiving. Is it like Valentine’s day… the one day we remember our special someone, or mother’s day, the one day Mom gets flowers?
Is it the one day we set aside to say thank you? Every blessing we get is from God. We like to be thanked. Shouldn’t we be thanking Him?

Can you spare a moment
There’s something you should see
Can you spare a moment
Would you stop with me?
Look at the colored leaves
In shades of red and gold
Aren’t the colors pretty
A glory to behold?
God’s painted you a sunset
With shadows in the clouds
Clouds so thick like batting
It should attract the crowds…
The clouds are parting slightly
To let the sun shine through
Casting shadows on their bedding
He made them just for you
Hours later the clouds lift
And the glorious sun remains
Glowing on the water
And a thousand window panes
It shimmers like pure gold
No jewelery could compare
To the glittering golden sunset
He gave us all to share
Yet you scratch your head and wonder
What He ever did for you
You watch someone take pictures
And haven’t got a clue
I truly grieve for you my brother
When I take you by the hand
To share God’s many wonders
And you still don’t understand.
