A poem about the love of chocolate and everything sweet.

Candy – Susan Varo 4-28-1993

I like candy stripes

and chocolate covered things

magic carpet rides go way up high

like a bird of wing

I like popcorn fields

and soda fountain slides

in my candy land it’s the sweetest place

so come and take a ride

I like marshmallow pies

and chocolate, chocolate chips

gourmet jelly beans grow everywhere

climb aboard a graham cracker ship

I’d like to say goodbye

cause now I’ve had my fill

till it’s time again to be back here

oh ain’t it a thrill
