Candy Bags

10 Oct 2011

Creepy kids walking everywhere
Little monsters with candy bags
The street is just full of them
Out hunting to fill their candy bags

Yards filled with creepy things
Each house has goodies for those candy bags
Those monstrous kids don’t pass any up
Got to fill up those candy bags

A haunting they cry Trick or Treat
Desiring treats to load their candy bags
Telling each other what each house has
Then run to get that in their candy bags

Soon the night is over
Parents say bring home your candy bags
Rushing home to enjoy their treasure
On the bed they pour out their candy bags

I haven’t heard of the candy bags before. Is that what children really do at halloween? We don’t get many callers at Halloween here. I loved the poem.
