I had random inspiration for some odd poem. Don’t judge me, because I don’t think it’s my best… but I like the theme. It’s really quite reminiscent to Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds and borrows some vocabulary from it.

Let’s sing for the sweets,
Hear the bird’s tweets?
Those are the eyes,
Of all human lies.
You know just how pretty,
They become when we’re giddy.

Remember, remember,
That one dark December,
We lost all the hours,
To superior powers,
The kaleidoscope eyes,
Can see past your cries…

And in that marmalade river,
There may be a sliver,
Of butterscotch rock,
And click goes the lock!
I noticed the stop sign,
Such a rugged straight line.

See the mandarin trees,
And I whisper you, “Please,”
Forget about dreamland,
And the world turns to sand.
I saw your look of surprise,
And the kaleidoscope eyes…

Bleeding and battered,
Your heart has been shattered,
Look to the west,
And then try your best.
I’ve left you a fountain,
At the head of the mountain.

See the albino parade,
On our social crusade,
For Peter Pan’s Neverland,
Just as Alice has planned.
And see our great castle,
We’ve won this last battle…

You, there! Hark to me,
I’d like you to see,
The kaleidoscope eyes,
And then finally flies,
To us, a godsend,
And you there, my friend.

So I’ve told you my tale,
Of a land in a veil,
Hidden in a curtain of obscurity,
Of this world’s such awful purity.
