My idea of what candy land would look and feel like.
Frozen and awed by glaciers of snow
Or what seems like snow, could actually slow
My sense of smell and and my tingling pride
Begin to fall and I stare and slide
In the mountains of snow and chocolate river
Seem so much better than meat and liver
With bunches of rock candy rolling away
Into the delicious flowing milky bay
And into the sky we see the sun
But not exactly, for our eyes do pun
For it is a large and golden jawbreaker
And it certainly takes about an acre
Of the sky into golden candy light
I really do wish that could take a bite
Of the sweet place in which I walk by
But the place is too beautiful and I ask myself why
Should I take something as such away from life?
