I’ve said it before…. To get something you’ve never had, you must do something you’ve never done. Anything else is insanity!

Firmly fastened, tethered and chained

To the past, our old routine

Clinging to what is comfortable

And all too familiar

How will we know the possibilities

That await us outside our

Self-imposed cells

Beyond our front door

If we won’t step out

Afraid to fail, thus

Afraid to try

Imprisoned by tradition

Nothing new to risk or venture

Holding tightly to the old ways

Silly enough to think

Something new will result

This is awesome. I really enjoyed reading this poem. Thanks for sharing and I hope you have more where that came from.

This beautiful and so true, I couldn’t agree with you more. Great post, I need to follow this advise more often, for I am afraid of breaking traditions, too.

So much truth here, said with such simplicity. Well done.
