Dealing with occasional insomnia is not a big deal, but four months of this sleepless nightmare is unbearable. I jumped out of bed at three in the morning to start writing this. Unfortunately, I am so sleep deprived it took me two days to write, ridiculous!

Can’t sleep

Begging pleading for rest

Empty dreams

Don’t have anything to get off my chest

Creaking house

Snoring Spouse

Cooing baby

Snuggling cradling

Can I please catch some zzz’s

Alas Dozing into slumber

A trance I did entreat

As I nod into wonder

AAAAACHOOOOOO!

THAT MANGY DOG BELTS A SNEEZE!!!!

I know the feeling; sometimes it’s so hard just to get in a good nights rest.

Great piece… full of truth about a common aspect of life. Isn’t it ironic… the moment you are nodding off, something startling occurs! Hope you have caught up on some sleep.
