I’m captured in the melody

I’ve known it from the start

Every hidden part of me

So deep within my heart

How I love the sound and the tone’s

When the rhythm begins to flow

I feel it deep within my being

 I’m a captive and it will never let me go.

Lost in the percussion

Something primative awakes

My body comes alive as the music gives and takes.

Every beat and every note

Takes possession of my heart

I can’t escape the music

It owned me from the start.
