A man realized he shouldn’t have told his woman that he cheated on her.

Gifts, favors, pleaing
could never undo
the errors of the tongue.
Truth only hurts everyone.

Her eyes said,
the beautiful ones always smash the picture.”
I’m just like all the men in her past;
a waste of time.
Hate when she feels like this
that’s why I didn’t want to tell her.

It was just a phase
that I had to get out my system.
Never planned to replace her
just needed some playtime.

She collected herself
and asked,
“Is it me or her, cause I still
want you.”
“You’re not playtime.”

She walked away,
as my guts turned and crumbled.
She was my comforter
and playtime’s not comforting.
I ran after her.
She’s no where in sight
and her phone was off.

Damn really?
We couldn’t work this out?
All these years together,
over, done.
No one more chance?
Why did I tell her that?

I’m never going to dance again.

If you want to dance you have to pay for the band. Good poem.

You may have lost her, but you cleared your conscience. As long as you have a clear conscience to do what is right there is hope to be gained from mistakes.

I have to agree that this is a very emotional poem.

The poem made us pay attention to learn of the experience which was expressed and the outcome.

Variety is the spice of life is what they say. I still don’t get why some men have to cheat even when they are satisfied in their relationships and or happily married. Then they come back all apologetic. Cheating hurts & leaves scars. It takes a long time to build that trust again. nice work
