Castles of sand are washed away from seashores like false hopes and blind anticipation washed away by he tide of reality.
We sit on naked sand caked feet on the golden sea shore
With an expanse of silent turquoise ocean
And a cerulean sky with the mellow golden lamp above
Gulls fly and shreik at a distance and dophins play in the waters
With hands smeared with gritty grains of sand
That which is blown into eyes and hair by playful breeze
And build castles so life like cemented with wet sand
Small turrets carved with finesse vainly stand head held high
As we spin tales of princes and fair maidens living within
Adorned with multishaded conch shells studded as gems
They stand in the sands bonsai of vestiges of the past
And as we admire the beauty of our creation
Waves from the sea come and wash them away
Leaving serpentine tracks of in the wet sands…
