Calamities; tragedies happens every day, because every day we are destroying nature to our own destruction.

I’ve been to many places,
Romantic, dangerous, and historic,
War torn, flooded, destroyed by quake,
Hunger stricken, political unrest,
And the most nations affected by climate change,
I’ve been there to catch a glimpse of these.

I can’t forget one horrible incident,
When I was in one African nation,
On a tour to a big grassy swamp,
Where crocs are very important person,
A wild pig came from nowhere,
Then suddenly a big male croc appeared.

The pig was caught very unaware,
Snatched quickly by the resident predator,
Eaten alive by the big mouthed evil,
With a razor sharp longitudinal teeth,
This monster; I caught in the act of killing a pig,
A stigma was born in me immediately.

It was the same with other experiences,
In war torn countries, I saw people amputated,
Houses, mountains, highways broken by a killer quake,
A country brought one meter higher than the sea level,
The once green land turned into river,
And many more I saw, mother nature in the act.

I do not think I could have watched the croc eat the dear innocent wild pig. I just could not of done it. I know it happens all the time, but to see it is something different.
I hope one day termoil will be over but unfortunately we cannot do much about Nature’s Disasters.
    Great write : ))

One life taking away another’s is bad always, or is it? Man taking another life or nature at its annihilative best – are they the same? What do yo think?

Nature is nature. There is no good or bad in nature. Humankind is a different story.

Survival of the fittest is natural in nature, when man interferes it can only be for worse.

You have seen some terrible things and portrayed them so well in this poem. Good work.
