Heavenly body unites with a mere mortal.

Awakened by rushing winds,
I find myself near water’s edge where last we kissed.
In my desire to bask once more in his celestial glow,
I reach through the grim night with hopes of bliss.
Though in my haste to capture his fullness,
my desires were again missed.

Tempting fate, I pull away the billowing haze to
reveal only a shadowed grin through the mist.
Yes, he teases now with a fleeting glance,
so I close my eyes and reminisce.

But, what is this glow upon my face now?
With open eyes that await his embrace,
I am drenched in the glow I cannot resist.
Wrapped in his radiant arms once more,
I reach to the heavens and willingly submit.

Lovely, spiritual poem with depth makes you want to read it much more than once. Brings to mind lovely visualizations.
