I’d like the difference between chalk and cheese.

Could you tell me the difference, pretty please?

I know that chalk is real hard stuff,

and when you over-cook cheese it gets real tough.

But the thing I really would like to know-

Is either one of them made from dough?

My mommy says you can write with chalk,

and draw pretty pictures on the walk.

My daddy says chalk makes a mess,

Colored dust settles on my dress.

I’ve never tried to eat my chalk,

just thinking of it makes me balk.

Cheese, on the other hand, is good to eat.

On pizza it is quite a treat.

It’s smooth and chewy,

and when it’s hot, it’s gooey.

How is it made? I would like to know.

I bet it makes for quite a show.

My sister says cheese comes from a cow,

But I can’t picture that somehow.
