I feel the Lord has changed my heart
And I thank Him
Until now I did not see
All that you truly are

I feel unworthy to even consider
That you may ever love me
Or that we may have a chance
To spend a lifetime together

I find God testing me
Asking first if I am willing
And then –
I find God is showing me
That you are all that I desire
And have always been there

I would be truly blessed
If you were ever to open the door
To a future together with me
I know God will lead you
And I pray and leave it there-

Only hoping that I can be
The young lady you envision
And long for me to be

I pray for wisdom and guidance
And I cannot help but feel
That the sun is rising
And knowing you are there
Brings peace to my heart

Knowing that patience is due
It is in His timing and will

I thank Him for showing me
You have been there all along
And if it is His great pleasure
