This was a poem I wrote for my AIM English class my freshman year. Its about my parents divorce.

Tragedies last forever,

a scar not soon to heal

What one may do will hurt another,

please tell me it’s not real

A single drop of water,

sends ripples throughout the lake

Just like a selfish choice,

to marry when love is fake

Now I’m split between two worlds,

no one can replace the other

I feel I barely know you,

Should I call you miss or mother?

This relationship is torn,

A heart to damaged to repair

Only a moments notice,

How can this be fair

You are such a coward,

Quiting before you try again

Do everything for yourself,

Kids left to feel the pain

Next time you act on impulse,

Because of one’s physical attraction

Please make damn sure your ready,

For a devestating Chain Reaction!
