Confusion.

Restrained by a feeling
Wanting to relinquish the fight
Leaving the prize to bathe in memories
Still new and bitter ones circulating inside
Paying testament to my naive stupidity
She had not gone as I supposed
The lovers nest is still there
What she said, my logic could not comprehend
Uncertainty and woman’s unfathomed moods my downfall
A pauper’s knowledge is all that any man can achieve
Composure in chaos’s midst, more imaginations mere figment to fool
Average Joe has no miniscule chance of ever being right
Standing there, neck always in the noose
Waiting
Convinced of his invulnerability
Crack the door opens; he dances a jig tightening his own noose
Another failed stop or go signal
Misunderstood
Confused
Therefore, I am no different from other men
Seeing and saying the wrong words at the wrong time
Jumping to conclusions which never were
Women our nemesis
