We buried a bird that had been part of the family for two years.

Good bye little one,
We hardly knew you.
You had two great years,
With us.

You always had a song to sing,
You knew how to torment the dog.
Kallie will miss chasing you,
And we will miss your songs.

Mom will miss singing to you,
And now she’ll have no one to sing to.
Dad probably won’t miss cleaning out your cage,
But I will miss your pecking at my fingers as I try to
Pet you.

So, Charlie Brown rest peaceful
And remember us who rescued you.
When you see Heidi up in heaven then
You know it’s a good place to be.
