I feel myself decaying

slowly but surely

becoming something I’m not

I find that I am no longer compatible with you

Our heated radioactivity is dissolving my personality

You have always been the right one for me

The one who made my boiling point so much higher

yet could melt my insides with the greatest ease

the energy released from our divide destroyed everything

yet surely it is my own instability that caused our undoing

we sit and cry our nuclear tears

as we are buried under the weight of our own sorrow

consumed by a fiery ocean of doubt and fear

i lose sight of you

as we both cool down i feel a sense of calm

before i know it I run back to you

in a mad rush for a structured existence

i find that when under the most pressure

we are compatible once again

and although our chemistry is always changing
