Love can quench the thirst of any body, any soul, who longs for it.
Those cherries fairly do bloom,
Where all pleasant fruits grow,
And roses and lilies stand,
Like soldiers lined in uniform,
And moved gently as one family.
These cherries lovely do enclose
A heavenly like beauty – great,
To view, to hold, and adore,
And love that surely grows,
As far as the heart of one to another.
These cherries grow which none can buy,
‘Till they are ripe and ready,
To taste sweet beyond any comparison,
‘Cause its taste brings you to heaven,
And its flavor can turn you on.
Oh cherry pie you are the one,
What I need to quench my thirst
Of many years of longing and waiting,
To stop my many sleepless nights of search,
Now you’re mine, my cherry pie.
