About the miracle of childbirth.
As ma’ lays there ready to have her baby,
She asks the doctor” are we ready”
He said maybe
As she lies in the hospital bed crying in pain
While doctors poking and prodding, she’s going insane
Doc says “ PUSH MA, COME ON PUSH
You’re almost there
As she looks around, there are people everywhere
No one to hold her hand, and see her through
Not her mom, not her dad, and not even her beau
All that pushing and crying, and screaming, proved it’s worth
As she wishes her baby daddy, or mom, dad was there
To witness this miracle of childbirth
Baby’s healthy, has all her finger and toes
Now she has someone to love, as she rubs her daughters nose
Wrapped in a pink blanket, she puts booties on her feet
Their coming home today, equipped with a carseat
