For my Mommy; I love to pick berries;

Blackberries, blueberries, strawberries, and raspberries.

They are natural and they are sweet;

They are very fun to eat.

I love to give my Mommy presents that are yummy;

That feel very good to her tummy.

My Mommy has done a lot for me;

I’d like to pick her apples off of an apple tree.

I just have to watch out for the bees that bite;

I’d have much more fun flying a kite!

Please don’t smoke; it’s bad for your lungs and heart;

You should stop before you ever start.

For, smoking cuts off your oxygen supply;

And sooner or later; it will make you die.

Then, everyone in your family will cry.

You can make wise choices if you try.

So, eat healthy food and don’t smoke or drink;

That will help to keep your lungs and your cheeks rosey pink!

For my kitty who passed away; my Daddy is planting a dogwood tree;

Which is making me so very happy.

It won’t bring her back, but I’ll have pretty flowers to remember her by;

She is happy now because she’s an angel, and she can fly.

I sang a song about her, bought a fern for her, made a stuffed animal, and made her flowers;

Because all of these things have special powers.

I can’t bring her back, but she’ll always be in my heart;

So, we’ll never be apart.

Don’t ever feed your kitty chocolate; it will make its heart race;

That will not put a happy smile on its face.

Don’t ever clip your kitty’s toenails past the quick;

That will make your kitty sick.

Please don’t de-claw your kitty, because your kitty is your child;

And it won’t be able to defend itself from the wild.

Remember to give your kitty lots of kisses and hugs;

Let it get some exercise by playing and chasing bugs.

For, your kitty is your best friend;

Like a pot of gold at the rainbow’s end.
