A Collection of Chinese Proverbs and their meaning.
1) Do good, reap good; do evil, reap evil.
Meaning – We reap what we sow.
2) If you are patient in one moment of anger, you will escape a hundred days of sorrow.
Meaning - We can never take back what we say and whatever comes of the action taken when angry will always be brought to our remembrance either by ourselves or people.
3) Do not employ handsome servants.
Meaning – Temptation can set in anytime.
4) If you want 1 year of prosperity, grow grain. If you want 10 years of prosperity, grow trees. If you want 100 years of prosperity, grow people.
5) If you wish to know the mind of a man, listen to his words.
Meaning - You can tell much about something just by what they talk about.

6) A smile will gain you ten more years of life.
Meaning – People who smile a lot actually look younger than their age. Those who frown a lot tend to look older.
7) To know the road ahead, ask those coming back.
Meaning – Before taking a venture, it is useful to ask people who have had the experience of doing it.
When you are poor, neighbours close by will not come; once you become rich, you’ll be surprised by visits from (alleged) relatives afar.
Meaning – It speaks for itself. (Even in Africa when a rich man dies, its so sad to see the amount of kids that come out from no where, with their mums claiming that he fathered them.)
