A poem about Christmas, and about how some people are insulted by those who celebrate Christmas.
Ho, Ho!
The holly and the mistletoe!
Are banished from the ivy covered walls,
Of the university,
And lest someone be offended,
There’ll be no Christmas tree,
Though we might have a holiday tree,
Or a winter solstice tree,
’Cause it’s plain that no one can be offended,
If we celebrate winter’s end,
With a tree,
So long as there are no angels or shepherds nearby,
And definitely no manger scene with wise men worshiping,
Mary’s boy child,
To remind us that this is the season,
When some celebrate the advent of Christ.
