Beautiful Christmas poetry.

Once upon a time, on Christmas Eve,

I sat by the fire, arms round my knees.

Covered up and cozy,

The smell of hot coco tantalizing me.

Gazing out the window, I could barely see,

But the moon shone bright and silvery.

Over by the hedge covered with snow

Kids slopped around, hiking icy slopes.

The houses glimmered with vibrant lights,

Adorned in tinsel with beautiful wreath.

The hoarfrost streets, slippery and flushed,

A soothing melody of the choir in Church.

Closing my eyes, I laid back down,

Drowning myself in the sweet mellow sounds

Dreaming of Santa, of Elves and Deer.

The Yule tree beside me gleamed with gold

Streamers and baubles decked in colors bold

A distant jingle woke me from my daze

As the clock struck twelve, Christmas is here!
