Christmas Time in Australia

Its Christmas time in Australia once again, it comes every year,

To bring glad tidings and good festive cheer

For all these cold weather folks, It was quite a shock,

To land in Australia, one of the world’s hottest spots,

When Santa, frosty and all his friends, even the 9 reindeer,

Brought the sleigh and all the pressie to the land down under here…

Frosty was so excited, to lead the kids around,

And even being in Australia, it didn’t make him stop 

Dancing, here and there, through cities n towns,

But pausing only a moment, he melted on the spot,

To see the icy icon, liquid in a pot,

Made the children cry and sob, made poor frosty frown

The happy little reindeers, faired no better in the heat,

While riding high up in the sky, they slammed on the breaks.

Which made poor Santa, yelled n shout, as he jumped up off his seat,

When poor Rudolph and his friends, all turn to look at Santa

Twas 9  reindeer’s nose; all glowing bright red.

The reindeer’s wanted to sunbake, and hadn’t pack a hat.

Santa feeling hot n flustered, flopped back to his seat,

And took of his fur-lined boots to cool his feet,

He looked around as his sad, sad group, and wondered what to do

When from in the far of distance sky, they heard a thundering boom

A rolling cloud of red, red dust, gave them a feeling doom.

When the cloud of red, cleared and settled down,

Six snow white kangroos, they found, who came to lend a hand,

Knowing that Santa, had to finish his rounds

Hooking up the sleigh the 6 white boomers, led them across the land

To deliver all the pressies, to all the cities and towns

So that all the little girls and boys

Sharing in the Christmas magic

Would find under the tree, their special toy

Their smiles, and joy, makes everything worthwhile

Santa, and his friends go home, feeling fantastic

Looking forward to next year… hoping that its not that hot

But maybe they will remember, their sunscreen, sunnies and hat

So as the sleigh, headed back through the night,

Merry Christmas to all, they cried…And to all good night
