:)

Christmas falls on December

It will be close to new year

Why am I looking forward to this festival

when I will be a year older

The reason is very simple

There will be excitement all over

With parties or celebrations coming near

Gathering of family members

or friends we treasure

Dining together, chatting and exchanging idea

Talk about the past, the present and the future

Some talk about ownselves, families, friends and even neighbours

We have gifts to be given to one another

Though real Santa Claus may not appear

But the fake one may appear at shopping centre

He is someone in disguise whom we are not familiar

but the children are happy and we will take picture

So whether Santa Claus is real or fake we don’t really bother

December, usually we will have colder weather

and we will not perspire

more cooling and feeling better

So you see why I look forward to Christmas

When I will soon be older, though may not be wiser

I used to look forward to Christmas, but now my husband makes it stressful by starting arguments constantly.

I really liked your poem. Can you believe that Christmas is practically around the corner?

I always think Christmas is the most joyful festival. I am used to be my own Santa Claus whenever gifts are concerned.

hahaha, ‘though may not be wiser’ – it’s the child that survives, eh? :) not celebrating christmas myself, it’s more an excuse to buy more books the past few weeks… anyway, hope you enjoy your time with your loved ones, mate
