Buying for Christmas on a credit card.

Mortgage payments take my cash

Gas prices eat up all my stash

December’s here, and times are hard

It’s Christmas on a credit card.

Laptops now are all the rage

Video games for every age

Decorations rival neighbour’s yard

It’s Christmas on a credit card.

Master card, Visa, American Express

I’ll use them all, and to excess

Twelve months to pay and if unmarred

Put another Christmas on a credit card.

A very unfortunate reality that many had to face.

Thanks of the poem. My former neighbor’s wife had 42 credit cards, many were maxed out. They divorced. He took out a second mortgage on his home to pay off the debt. I like my one-credit-card wife.

I’ve put a big hug on wish list and told everyone that’s all I want and I’m giving. :0 Love your poem. You are multi-talented. Blessings!

Tragically true. But a very entertaining poem and a very good read.

I know, I know. I had to break down and use mine for a few items this year. We are trying to give our granddaughters a really good Christmas. They are three and five and their mother doesn’t want them. Our son is raising them on his own on a tight budget. What is this world coming to? I keep asking myself this question.

Pam, I sometimes feel the same way.
