Christmas should be a time of celebration, but for people it just magnifies loss.
Every time I think of Christmas
my heart is stabbed
I cannot think of it
without feeling that lasting jab
I cannot comprehend the loss there
I cannot imagine that empty seat
the heartache of you not being there
it will always have that effect on me
