Trying something new.

Church

I went to a Big Mega bucks church,

On a curious whim.

Most of that congregation were well known professionals

So needless to say

I was a little Leary of them.

I parked my neon amongst the Primo’s

And walked inside,

I was dressed to the nines

Displaying my own pride.

As I reached an aisle

I was met by a young usher, who

said,

Good morning sister

We welcome you.

Then he led me by a small gloved hand

To the very front center pew.

I did not want to be this close

But now what could I do?

An elder did the opening prayer

A deacon thanked me for being there

The pastors sermon

Made me get up on my feet

For echoes of childhood sermons

He did repeat and complete

The choir had me clapping

And singing out loud

Of my venture to this

Mega bucks church

I felt happy

And very proud

So sad.. but that’s the harsh reality of life…
if this isn’t right, why keep it?

Oops.. kindly delete my comment above… That’s for the other sad story I read… fault of the hanging internet signal…. hehe

I can relate to this because I was once invited to my friend’s church… at first I was hesitant, yet after the mass, I felt sanctified……..

Sound like a Holy Ghost experience. Good work.

I don’t like mega buck churches. There are too many hungry and homeless people in the world than to spend the wealth on a mega church.
