Another poem about a love gone bad.

Love in a bottle

This is what they try to sell us.

Moonlight kisses

Fading with the dawn.

Nothing real but forever changed.

The tide came to wash all existence away.

Sweet as Cinnamon,

But bitter as salt.

Slow like molasses

Beyond a fault.

Here stands the gray sky

Cradling the black moon.

Lost in a desert,

But I’ll be home soon.

A once resident of ecstasy

But vanished in life.

All of love’s mystery

Blown away on the winds of loneliness.

Camouflage the night in still wonder.

Give me a heart inside to plunder.

The first taste as sweet as cinnamon.

The next as bitter as salt.

Love runs slow like molasses.

In the spiderweb as are caught.

Under the black sky

We curse the gray moon.

Alone in this desert

Facing doom.

Another night of waiting,

Another night of watching.

All I see is pain.

Another way of seeing,

Another way of knowing.

In our de’ja’vu its just the same.

like the way you’ve laid this out – the timing enhances the sense of frustration – nicely done
