Here is a brief explanation of a cinquain followed by an example.

A five line poem that follows the following structure:

  1. Title (ONE WORD)
  2. Describe the title (TWO WORDS)
  3. Action words or phrase about the title (THREE WORDS)
  4. Depict a feeling about the title (FOUR WORDS)
  5. Summarizes the title (ONE WORD)

Example:

Help all humans
Strength, Shelter, wilderness necessities
