Did we realize we would be declaring war on our own families.

It took the Chinese centuries to crush the opiate trade.

In the end they resorted to on the spot executions of those involved.

How far are we prepared to go?

The initial allure of drugs is in the forbidden taboo aspect.

That has managed to weave itself into the rites of passage to adulthood.

Like alcohol and sex.

And just like alcohol and sex the war on drugs has been totally mishandled.
