The longest poem I’ve ever written. It was meant as an epic about adventure, illusions and disillusionment, life and finding true love which makes every struggle worth it. I used a lot of metaphors to express the disgust towards the lack of true feelings, and the desire to be completed by a kindred soul. Enjoy.
For my muscles, torn and tired, fathom not to bear my blade.”
But He Pursued His Heart’s Desire…
“Can you not see, my warring tigress, I am the end of your heart’s path?
I am the one who sees within you, who feels your growls, your purrs, your wrath.”
Only To Ignite Her Yearning Fire…
“Are you the ever silent watcher? The presence that embraced my sleep?
The wild resounding in my spirit, the heat erupting in me deep?”
Words, Perhaps, Are Not Required…
“Give into my voracious fires and melt beneath my claiming kiss…”
“Satiate my tormenting longing, ravage me to scorching bliss…”
VIII. The world as known to blind outsiders ended in one molten day,
As the mates that found each other, swayed into love’s tender play,
Their bodies gleamed ‘neath sky’s fair witness,
As the lovelorn loner devoured his mistress.
IX. His breath burned through her heated flesh and her moans he stole with need,
And she shared in his relentless, passionate, unyielding greed,
She clawed at her alpha’s rippling back and moaned her pleasure in his soul,
He engulfed her lustful form, and bound together they were whole.
X. He took her to unending heights, he grasped her by her flowing mane,
He howled as she yelled out his name, and both were epically insane,
He took away her sense of colours, her every notion of clear sight,
He granted her eternal passion, he took her again all through the night.
XI. And when in pure intoxication, she allowed her eyes to close,
He embraced his wondrous lover, nuzzling her trembling nose,
Never did his arms release her as they found such soothing rest,
And love beyond the world’s depictions, the true reason of their quest.
EPILOGUE
Like the girl who found her mate with his orbs of sea-bound blue,
So have I commenced to walk the path of love only with you.
To wonder how you sweetly smile not with your lips, but with your eyes,
To lay beneath your touch, your words, that caress and mesmerize.
Let us roam free where stars can’t grasp, where they can only guide and see,
Let us frolic in the realm ‘tween magic and reality.
Be the hero of my epic, dim Galahad and Beowulf,
As we write our own true story, the tale of the tigress and her wolf.
