This is the saga of anorexia…
I yearned for slimness and found cachexia
With the desire to ward away obesity
I was entangled by the morass of anorexia
The desire for food I conquered to stay thin
All vitality and vigour was sucked from my veins
And I was left as a breathing carcass
In the journey of insipid, starved existence
And now unchained , liberated
Savouring once again delicacies on the palate
With eager anticipation and delight
Comfortable with the contours of my body
Never again aspiring to be mannequin thin
I live a life away from claws of anorexia…
