A reply to Dave Breen’s weight loss poem.

Dave wrote a weight loss poem, The Weight Loss Poem :-)

This is my reply.

Clothes in the wardrobe

hang waiting for me,

they won’t be replaced,

no money you see.

It’s not about image

or what I perceive,

when wearing my clothes

I still need to breathe.

If they are too tight

they may split at the seams

and that wouldn’t look nice,

would spoil all our dreams.

So, out I go walking

and eating less food

and before too long

my clothes will look good.

Loved it! My clothes tend to shrink while they wait for me to wear them again.

Great! I hope your dream of losing a little weight comes very soon! You have a great attitude towards weight loss.
I myself am on a diet. Since it is Ash Wednesday, we had three cheese lasagna that didn’t have meat and I only ate half of mine. Saving it for Friday.

I simply loved it, Valz. I too have started my weight loss regime; let me see how far I go.

I think many of us can relate to this. I keep some of my older and much bigger clothes to remind me I never want to be big again. I have no intention of ever wearing them. A lovely poem.

LOL! Good one. There was a time when I was a bit too overweight and my husband would tempt me with these nice clothes–which I could buy the minute I lost some weight. Well, I eventually lost the weight but we never quite got round to buying me the reward…
