One morning on my way to work, I noticed the darkest, most bulbous cloud cover in the sky. It inspired this work.

Righteous,

Gloomy,

May we all soon be,

Swallowed by its ominous presence,

There is no one sentence,

That could represent its,

Darkness,

Full, ponderous, humbling masses,

Inspiring passions,

Inspiring caution,

This morning is unlike others,

Sunlight discovering obstruction,

Destructive,

Powerful,

And yet delicate,

Appreciation irrelevant,

When, like the remnance of an explosion in the sky,

They hover,

Seeming infinite, but impermanent,

Reflective,

Yet inhuman,

Protective of a purpose,

And expressive of the surface,

Of the Earth’s endless firmament,

Without all our fictions and rudiments.
