Poem:

In our world of ups and downs,

There is room for crazy clowns;

Funny, but not really crazy.

Just pretending to be hazy

Artfully, that we could say

They’re around to make our day 

Brighter, with our burdens lighter.

In our world of ups and downs,

We should play along with clowns

Who reward us that we should 

Laugh awhile to do us good;

That we might in moments take

That important freedom-break

From the pressure and the pain,

Hanging over life’s terrain.

Days of darkness might be much,

As we feel depressed as such,

But the Power high above us,

Never fails to shine and love us

With His light, forever bright.

Let there be extensive spaces

For those clowns with funny faces;

Let us take that freedom-break;

Let us laugh and be awake!
