A poem that was abandoned for too long… withering, and freezing in the harsh bitterness.

Who is he?

Some say he’s been forgotten

The only one not permitted to move on

To take a step forward, but shunned

And locked outside.

Hoard the candy, don’t let him near

For Halloween; No love on V-day

Nor a present or stop from Saint Nick.

Maybe his next life

Everyone would treat him better

But for today? This life?

A few years later, time passes so quickly

The boy aged into a man.

But is heart… it was cold.

He never bothered to converse,

Nor tried to get anyone’s attention.

All he knew was of this frigid realm

Where only he and the coldness

Surrounding him exists.

Maybe a few souls could look upon his heart

Now seen as a hard, impenetrable rock

A stone, durable through crush and pain.

His stone gaze and nonchalant personality

Has left him cold… cold as stone.
