A metaphorical, contemplative sonnet on unity and interconnectedness.

All beings are like blossoms of a flower;
thought different, the fragrance is the same.
Each one will welcome sunlight and devour
rich nourishment from soil, rejoice in rain.

Though independent, each connects to link
with common source of life–the central stem,
which draws from veins of soul a sacred ink
to scribe the song that joins each ‘us’ and ‘them’.

But most imagine separateness is real,
until harsh winds will force them all to bend
in one direction, rendering chance to feel
the truth that binds us all to common end.

Catastrophe, though tragic, offers treasure:
capacity to stretch compassion’s measure.

    we both sit

    with God’s love

    we feel so rich

    flower when blooms

    smiles friendship

    nature claps

    we feel bliss

This is good, provokes deep thought. A tip: check the word spacing as some are melded together.
