Coming One

A person on Whom we can rely.

If on Him we will believe.

Oh, be not troubled. He’ll coming from on high.

And He will us receive!

A place in which we shall retire.

When He comes, or when we come to die.

We shall not here suffer in judgment fire,

But He’ll take us Home on high!

A prospect in which our hearts rejoice.

While we’re living down here below.

Waiting for when we hear His Voice,

Calling us with Him to go!

So trust his promise; We know it is sure

All reliability.

We can trust, knowing that it endures,

His Face, one day we’ll see!

His resource, everything here is spread,

Go now to His throne of Grace.

To get what we need from the living bread

And to look upon His Face!

Ready to take you, with you commune

If you’re ready, resolved to be.

Are you ready to meet Him? He’s coming soon,

To deliver you and me!

There were witnesses that he was Lord.

And Redeemer, and all these things.

Witnesses also will give the Word,

He will come as the conquering King !

We must prepare, as He for us now,

Oh, friend, we must beware

And in our hearts most reverently bow,

Have nothing between us there!
