Commotion in Listening

Yack, yack, yack…

Some people never cut you any slack

Their mouth yaps faster than their feet

So good at it, they can compete

Sometimes I get a headache

This causes genuine resentment

Wish they would be quiet, for one day

Give some poor soul a chance to say.

I know what you mean, many people prefer the sound of their own voice to actual conversation, listening is a talent possessed by a few, ^_^

“Their mouths yap faster than their feet” – is one of the best lines of poetry i’ve heard in a long time. It’s an adorable poem. Oh, my – were you irritated when you wrote this!!!
