A follow-up to an earlier poem I posted here about stepping out of my comfort zone. I think I will survive!

Only two days till the conference

and still things to be done,

I’ve been running here

and running there

and having so much fun.

The catering is organised,

so lunch food will be there,

tea, coffee, biscuits,

there’s bound to be some spare.

I’m very nearly organised

for my role as Conference Crier,

I was reluctant at first,

it’s not a role to which I aspire.

However, hire a hat, buy a scarf,

start thinking of a theme,

I’ve stretched my limitations

and I’ll be conference queen!

So, the next few days will be busy,

I may not be around,

but hopefully from this experience

lots of writing will abound.

I’ll be back next week on Triond

to tell a tale or two,

and catch up on all the writing

that has been done by you.
