A Poem of Memories, grief, and Faith.
I grieve for the Lost and the Broken
and for dreams that they never fulfilled
I grieve for the Loved ones I’ve lost
and for Ray and Kaylene my two friends that got killed
One I lost to suicide the other to a heartless killer
Her killer sits in a texas Jail, but nonetheless I miss her.
Every New Years Eve
I cannot help but remember
a life so full of promise in an instant turned to embers
And then when they told me Ray had died a few years back
I couldn’t believe that
I am the mourning poet
I will be till I draw my final mortal breath
I will shed this mortal coil, and then by and by
Though this flesh shall die
I will join the Lord, my friends, and the angels
Up on Heaven’s highest Hill
We will be together yes we will
I will shed this life of troubles, griefs, and sin
then Never will this poet mourn again
