A little bit of Christmas humor.

Sugar plums, Jingle bells.
And eggnog laced with rum
I’d better write a letter,
Or Santa may not come.

I’ll tell him just how good I’ve been,
Or does he really know.
About the time I called my best friend,
A nasty so and so?

Will he remember back to Easter?
When I served a homemade cake.
That I purchased at the grocery store
Because I hate to bake.

Does he know about the mystery dent,
In the fender of my car?
That really wasn’t all my fault,
What, with guardrails where they are.

Or the time I claimed a headache,
To avoid an in-law dinner.
These are all such tiny things,
Am I really such a sinner?

Maybe I’ll forget the letter,
And climb back into bed.
I’ll wake up when he gets here later,
And explain myself instead.

Don\’t worry lanne, you don\’t have to be a good girl for Santa to come. I think I\’ve been a naughty girl sometimes over the years but he always visits me! LOL

A few small fibs are overlooked by Santa so, like Louie I think you are safe. It is a great poem. I hope you are saving them for a future book.

Just noticed all the odd /// marks in my previous comment. I haven’t invented a new kind of punctuation mark…I think there is a problem with my keyboard. lanne, at least you admit your ’sins’, it would take too long to write mine down!! LOL

Actually louie, this poem is all just stuff that I made up. Well maybe except the cake part. I do hate to bake.It would have been a VERY long poem had I added all of my faults :)

    Oh mother dear….
    You always surprise me!
So…when is the “musy” and “teary-eyed” story about our family going to be on here???

    Love you

And I would like A new computer…I will get that whether I am good or bad cause I am buying it myself. ha ha!

I have been mostly good and for the little fluffs I made through the year…I would rather Santa knew about them than your mother

I have a few of my own confessions, nothing big..but a few fudges. Like you, I think I will leave it to Santa to find it out.

Very Witty! I loved it. I hope Santa did bring you what you wanted for Christmas.
    Best Wishes,
    Josey

    Lanne,
There’s nothing like a good holiday chuckle. I’m sure Santa liked it too!
