This poem describes that feeling when the world becomes to much and has turned who you are into your enemy.
My lips can bear no smile.
My long, lost words fail to spill from my tongue.
My ears hear nothing but the dead of silence.
My eyes can see nothing but the blackest black.
Everything that I am,
And everything that I have strived for is lost.
For I have been encased in this tomb, this coffin.
It holds me prisoner to myself,
I have become my own worst enemy.
My mind slowly destroys who I am piece by piece.
It eats away at all that I have left,
And now I am left with nothing.
My body has become fully confined to the pain.
It holds me captive, its restraints tight,
I cannot regain control.
