Sometimes I find old work that I never published. This, along with a few others I haven’t completed yet were in a folder marked "recipes" for some asinine reason.

My addle brain works in mysterious ways :-)

I could say that I am so tired

But honestly

Undeniably

There is oddly your energy

I could say that what has transpired

Is regrettably

The result of a litany

Of shenanigans you have compiled for delivery

Conjured

Structured

Set up for your own amusement

But incidentally

And some would say ignorantly

I did not see things or see them clearly

Until my view of you had been repaired;

Rewired

So to speak easy on myself;

Emotionally spared

And eventually

The fog lifted higher and higher

Until the trueness declared

You to be a consummate liar

    I always like your way with words.
    Nice share.

    What I’ve always wondered is where people find the time to cook up all the schemes they later execute on others.

    i loved this one, Jerry. sometimes lies are more easy to believe and accept than the truth, but a liar at the end is always a liar and will get his/her dues one day.

    Thanks guys for weighing in on this one. Written sometime ago but I liked the rhythm of the poem and thought it was worth posting.
