Poem:

Good values are but those of truth

Besides those of religion,

Rules and laws, not oft acute,

Through avenues of vision.

Sweetest fruits are those of love,

Pure and of real worth,

Not when we feel we are above

The common things of earth.

The flighty are not just the birds

That dominate the sky,

Swifter yet are wings on words,

Soaring up so high!

Firm may be the laws of man,

Curbing temptation within us;

Stronger yet is the power that can,

Evoke the good within us.
