A short little story(about 250 words) about a kid, a candy bar and 13 green jelly beans.

Corky McAlester stood on the edge of the universe with a candy bar in his hand and 13 green jelley beans in his pocket.

The Jelley beans shouldn’t count thought Corky. Since I hate Green jelley beans! But in the back of his mind, he had always entertained hopes for a trade.

Fat chance of that now! Thought Corky. He had not worn those pants in ages, and he was sure there was a disclosure law about trading jelley beans. Corky was pretty sure that jelley beans as old as his, were of little desire to anyone. So he decided to plant them in his back yard.

He remembered the story of Jack and the Bean stalk, and was almost sure that it was untrue. The world was full of untruths. There were as many untruths in the world as there were green jelley beans. Thats really sad, thought Corky. Because he hated green jelley beans.

Corky McAlester stood on the edge of the universe with a candy bar half of a candy bar in his hand…and a pocket full of lint.

 And the universe was big.
