Syncopate! Anticipate!
Synergize! Energize!
Compromise! and realize…
What a mistake I’ve made!
I’ve played with their feelings
Guessed at their needings
Combined it with my greed
To focus on their failings
I compromised our dealings
And really made a mint!
My heart was made of flint
Their concerns to me was the lint
I brushed off my jacket every day…
Now I am in need
I’m now food for their greed
My mistakes brought me down
From the ‘Smile King’ to the ‘Clown’
