All cannot be sunshine. A little rain must fall, but then the gray clouds make us appreciate the cotton candy clouds more. And actually, I enjoy the rain. It cleans the earth and brings a fresh “after the rain” scent, but the clouds after wards were spectacular. I could not help but marvel at the sky’s beauty.

picture by me

When I woke this morn the sky was colored gray.

The rain was coming down upon this dreary day.

But shortly afterwards the sky had turned to blue

With cotton candy clouds and the sun shining thru.

Cotton candy clouds strewn across the sky

Make me glad that my camera is nearby.

Never could my words properly portray

The cotton candy clouds on this autumn day.

My life seems to be just like this rainy day;

Sometimes clouds of gray get in the way

But then cotton candy clouds sweeten up the pot

And I thank my Lord for the good things that I’ve got.

    A lovely poem. It reminds us that after the rain comes the beautiful sky with puffs of “cotton candy clouds”.

    Lovely, Judy. I’ve got some clouds of my own here. The sky is covered with them today. Not a blue bit in sight.

    Judy, this is just beautiful and a lovely picture too. It brings back memories of childhood, when I would often lie and look for shapes in the clouds. Thanks.
